Art Therapy is a gentle model of psychotherapy which allows for expression of feelings and emotions through creative materials when often words are too difficult to find. Sometimes we do not understand why we are feeling confused or distressed and the art therapy process can help us to make sense of our inner world.
Using art materials can give us insight into our subconscious mind and help us to figure ourselves out. This method of therapy is accessible for most people and can be particularly helpful for people with communication challenges. Words are powerful, but so is art.
